Welcome to a new video series. In this episode, we’re introduced to the siblings that are Thomas and Lara Kincaid. We’ll follow, uh, one of them through their journey as they travel through the zombie apocalypse. The goal of this series was, of course, to be a playthrough of Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead, but also for me to roleplay a character. This is my first ever roleplay in CDDA and we’ll see how that all turns out. It will also be illustrated as much as I can manage using Stable Diffusion, more info on that below.

I’ve actually wanted to do a roleplay/audiobook style journey through CDDA for a really long time, I just never thought people would actually care (and still don’t really expect them to). With the recent advances in AI image generation, it seemed like a good time to dive in.

AI Information
I use Stable Diffusion, a free Text-to-image and image-to-image AI that you can find pretty easily online. It’s got a good license, so I can actually use it for commercial works. I use the Web-UI Automatic1111 and for my computer it takes about a minute per generation which is mind-numbingly slow.

For generating the art, I use a model called “Liberty”. This was recommended to me because it’s a merge of multiple other models, all of which have pretty open licenses, allowing me to use the generated works on YouTube. Full disclosure, this model does have some not safe for work aspects, so if you look it up you will likely encounter some of that.

A typical prompt for me is usually like this : “Masterpiece, professional oil painting of a zombie man wearing a t-shirt and jeans, high resolution, visible brush strokes” and etc. etc. I’m definitely not a skilled prompter, your results may vary blah blah etc.
