Background for the trailer:
Since there are a lot of mobile game trailers that follow a similar format for their videos, we decided to make this one a bit different -- introduce a story rather than just show gameplay features and value propositions. Our idea for the Lords Mobile trailer was to light-heartedly introduce the iconic game characters -- light knight, dark knight, light huntress, dark huntress -- as they meet, battle... and fall into a love quadrangle with devastating consequences! Along with the action, we wanted to make the characters a lot more human, and thus bring you closer to them, so we played on age-old human themes -- love, hate, jealousy, justice. Heroes and villains are people too!
IGG also wanted to go a different route with the trailer and didn"t want to use gameplay footage as so many others do. We created the story in-house from an IGG idea, but naturally, we worked closely with the art director at IGG to make sure this was a great video and what IGG wanted. We think we have succeeded in both.
