For years, Finn and Natalie walked the same path. But when their time together comes to an end, Finn finds himself lost in a mysterious forest. Paralyzed by the fear of moving on, Finn is at risk of losing himself. Through self-discovery, Finn must gather the strength to forge a new path.
One of the most challenging aspects of our film"s production is that we use Unity to render in real time. Our goal is to push this technology so that viewers can no longer distinguish between a film that was made in Hollywood versus a film that was made in a game engine. Regardless of how Sonder is made, we hope that people will fall in love with Finn as much we have and experience his journey.

Sonder short film is comprised of a talented group of industry professionals from around the world who have worked at studios such as Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, Sony, EA, Oculus Story Studios and more. With backgrounds in feature film animation, VR/AR, gaming and VFX, the Soba team has come together to advance storytelling through different mediums.
WRITER AND DIRECTOR
Neth Nom is an animator and director who has been working in the industry nearly a decade. He has contributed on numerous films, including Toy Story 3, Brave, Monsters University and Bolt, at studios including Pixar, Sony, Rhythm & Hues and Disney. He also animated for Oculus Story Studio"s first short film, Lost, directed a VR game entitled LilyPad, and was most recently the lead animator at PullString, an entertainment and technology company.
PRODUCER
Sara Sampson is a production engineer who has supported animation on many features, which include Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur and Finding Dory. Sara has also contributed to several live action shorts, having worked as producer, script supervisor and camera assistant.
