Back yard was shot at Kala Wawa (Anuradhapura), House exterior and front gate was shot at adisham bungalow (Haputale), house interior was shot at Richmond castle bungalow (Kalutara). Our task was to create the illusion that all these geographically distant locations merge together seamlessly, so it creates one grand location, which doesn"t exist in Sri Lanka! We added a mountain range around Kala Wewa (references were shot at Belihuloya) so it looks like it’s a part of the hill country.
Overall it was an interesting project. We ended up doing 75+ shots. We worked in clip’s base resolution to keep the quality and almost all of them were mastered in 5K with few 4K exceptions.
