Cliffhanger review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Cliffhanger from Malibu Interactive and Sony Imagesoft and Psygnosis for Super Nintendo.

When you have a big time Hollywood movie and a giant star to go with it in a game, you think it would be the recipe for success. Cliffhanger suffers from being a generic game but fitted with awful controls. You will have trouble from the very first enemy and will continue to struggle all the way through the tedious levels. It is a beat 'em up, but the levels are basically the same with a different background. The game does mix things up with climbing stages and running from an avalanche in parts, but you will wish they hadn't. The game could have been Final Fight on a mountain, which would have been great, but instead it feels like a broken game.
