Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video game review of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine for the Sega Genesis. While Sonic is nowhere to be found, his arch nemesis Dr. Robotnik's is featured in this westernized version of the Japanese puzzle game Puyo Puyo. In the same vein as games like Tetris, Dr. Mario, or Columns, you'll drop and match different colored beans and set up combos and chain reactions to take out your human or AI opponents. The gameplay from Puyo Puyo is completely intact, but in this case they've added villains from the original Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon show from 1993.
