Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Lock ’n Chase for the Game Boy developed and published by Data East.
Data East brings another one of their classic arcade games to the Game Boy, and like BurgerTime, it’s even better in your pocket. Lock ’n Chase was originally released to arcades as a Pac-Man clone. Instead of collecting pellets and running from ghosts, you play as a robber who collects gold coins and runs from security guards. The gameplay is very similar, but Lock ’n Chase also adds some twists of its own. Especially on the Game Boy, where the game has never looked or played better. Like BurgerTime Deluxe, Lock ’n Chase features more levels and improved presentation on the Game Boy. It features single-player play.
