When the news hit that Rockstar was developing a sequel to the internationally banned Manhunt — for the family friendly Wii, no less — the controversy swelled to an incredible level. Manhunt 2 was forced to go through extensive censorship prior to its release, hence the blurred cut scenes and, of course, the backlash. The violence feels even more gratuitous and meaningless when blurred out, and unlike the first game, Manhunt 2 also suffers from lots of technical shortcomings.
