CGRundertow UNLICENSED NES GAME CARTRIDGES Video Game Packaging Review
Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game packaging review of three unlicensed game cartridges for the NES, from Tengen, Color Dreams, and Camerica. Some companies that couldn't get Nintendo's official approval to make games for the classic 8-bit console would figure out workarounds to bypass the system's lockout chip, and would have to use a different cartridge design to separate themselves from the rest of the pack. These games were still legal to produce, but simply lack Nintendo's seal of approval. This video game packaging review examines the packaging design of these unlicensed NES games (specifically After Burner, Spiritual Warfare, and Firehawk) with commentary from CGRundertow reviewer Kevin.
