Sonic and Tails begin their return to the Floating Island with a round of snowboarding. Sonic goes first, but crashes into a wall, so Tails checks to see if he's alright. They find out whatever made the wall, so they go to check it out. Tails notices that the cave they are in is very unstable, so destroying any robots inside would trigger a cave-in. They find out along the way that in order to summon the creature that summoned the wall, they will need exactly 18 rings.
