Change Speed In Supercollider Using Rubato
In this demonstration, SuperCollider is using a MIDI instrument to change speeds, depending on the line given in the curve and tempo envelopes. Dynamic change depends on two keys in the Pbindef structure: \curve and \tempo. This creates for us a musical rubato that was prominent in the Romantic period.
Headphones recommended. Please note, this is a delicate and dynamic instrument. Don't have your volume set too high. Near the end of the video, I demonstrate a sequence, which was inspired by the code in this video below:
