How To Build A Kick Drum
In this demonstration, we'll learn how to construct a kick drum synth, using the SynthDef unit generator. Please keep in mind that this synth is a sequence of tones passing though an envelope. While its output may sound like a kick drum, it does not behave like an acoustic instrument, in that there is no natural decay or release. Envelope values must be used at the discretion of the composer. It's advisable to keep the release of the signal's envelope at one second or less.
