A fighting game set in a medieval fantasy world. Developed by Korea's Aeolis (it is said that there are also subcontractors). Originally announced under the title "Dark Awake", it was later released under the current name as the second title of the new board Taito Type X. Although it was not originally released for home use, Recom acquired the copyright for this game. "Dark Awake" was released on PlayStation 3 's PlayStation Store on August 5, 2010 as downloadable content. The design of some characters has been changed for home use (however, the arcade version costume can also be used as a hidden costume).
A 3on3 system is adopted, and players create a team by selecting 3 out of 18 characters of 6 races and 1 out of 40 types of items with various effects. You can also have 2 or 3 items by reducing the number of fighting characters during order selection. Having multiple items strengthens the character more than usual.
On September 20, 2012 , NESiCAxLive compatible arcade versions of both "Chaos Breaker" and "Dark Awake" began operation. This NESiCA version has been slightly rebalanced, mainly around Vritra.
