A new Chaos Field PB in months! Since I got my three hiscores last year, I kept labbing some new strats to get better Hal and Ifumi scores. And here's a new development towards my final Hal goal

Out of all 3 personal records I have, Hal was clearly the one I was the least happy with. That 306mil could have been better even back then with the strats I had. But in the meanwhile, I realized I had even more avenues for score potential increases anwyays.

This run builds on the previous one and also uses as many new scoring tricks as I could think of this year. The main reason why this one here isn't still optimal in my eyes is due to early deaths in 3-2 (I swear I pressed the sword button!...must have been too late) and 4-1 (that one was oof) which prevented me from milking 5-3 to the max. I tended to instantly reset the run at early deaths like that, but I noticed it made me less motivated to grind runs over time. Perhaps already having beaten the arcade record also had an influence. Either way, I felt like temporarily settling for less was the way to go to still keep the runs coming.

Despite the concessions, 335 million is a great score, and beyond what I could have gotten at best with last year's strats. IIRC I estimated the potential of those older strats at 330mil.

Next step hopefully : 350mil! My final Hal goal. If I hadn't taken those early hits and pulled off the full stage 5 strats with the groovy 5-3 extended milk, it could have been possible. So I am feeling rather confident I can do it, sooner or later.
