Anthony gives his impressions of Beowulf who was recently added to the roster of Skullgirls: Encore. Beowulf is a wrestler who retired at the height of his professional wrestling career, defeating the seemingly unstoppable Grendel, as well as his frenzied Gigan mom when she nearly ate the audience after her son’s defeat. Years later Beowulf had become restless, wondering if that was his limit. He announced his plans to fight once again. What he didn’t mention was that it wouldn’t be in the ring, since there’s no telling where his greatest opponent will show up.

Skullgirls is a fast-paced, 2D fighting game developed by Lab Zero Games (formerly known as Reverge Labs) and lead by tournament champ Mike “Mike Z” Zaimont and artist Alex “o_8” Ahad. The game first released in North America through a digital download format on April 10, 2012 on the PlayStation Network. It was released a day later on the Xbox Live Arcade on April 11, 2012.
