- Hu Tao is the current unorthodox and 77th Director of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, better known for her mischievous antics throughout Liyue.
- It is often said of Hu Tao, that her antics are as plentiful as the sands of Yaoguang Shoal and that she never ceases to cause shock and awe with her abundance of bizarre ideas.
- Despite Hu Tao’s playful side however, she does not take her position as the 77th Director lightly and will personally take charge in the midst of services to ensure a proper sending off of the deceased.
- To Hu Tao and the staff of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, it is important that every ceremony be carried out according strictly to the wishes of the deceased relatives, with the highest of professionalism observed.
- Hu Tao’s own words being “At Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, the living give us mora to see the dead on their way. We have a responsibility to both parties, so we gotta make sure both sides are happy.”
- Thus Hu Tao treats the parlor’s operations with the utmost importance and respect; possessing an intimate grasp of its time honored traditions and various rules.
- On the rare occasion that the adepti are in need of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor’s services, Hu Tao will employ the aid of longtime friend Zhongli, who is described as “living history” and well versed in such matters.
- This is due in large part to the the people of Liyue collective inexperience on such matters, as the adepti are long lived and are not subject to death often.
- At eight years of age, Hu Tao would move into the parlor in order to begin her education in the ways of its many etiquettes/operations and would conduct her first funeral as a teenager.
- It was said that pre-debut of Hu Tao’s introduction as the 77th Director, Wangsheng’s consultants and undertakers experienced stomach knots so intense, it was as if they were suspended above Jueyun Karst.🌸
