Charles and William are 'scratching their heads' after Harry and Meghan's trip to Nigeria.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's recent trip to Nigeria apparently signaled to King Charles that they "refuse to accept" that they are no longer working royals.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently traveled to Nigeria for three days after receiving an invitation from the country's Chief of Defence. They visited schools and hospitals to promote the Invictus Games.
According to royal biographer Tom Quinn, the visit appeared to be "a bold statement that they refuse to accept they are no longer working royals."
"When you look at what Harry and Meghan got up to on their Nigeria tour, it's clear to see why the senior royals are concerned. "Everything you'd expect from an official royal visit was there - receptions, visits to schools and charities, wounded soldiers and the disabled," he told The Mirror.
He stated that King Charles and Prince William were "scratching their heads" trying to figure out how to "control this nightmare situation."
"Meghan and Harry's remarks and attitude have been tailored to convey the idea that they are still fully paid-up royals, something William and his father King Charles do not appreciate. For Charles and William, it's as if Meghan and Harry are saying, 'We don't need your permission to be working royals; we'll do it on our own terms whenever and wherever we want,'" he said.
