I found this clip lurking on the hard drive. I must have forgotten to upload it or didn't think it was good enough or something. Whatever. I watched it tonight and thought it was worth sharing so here it is. It's the same backing track I used for Rob Keeley's Dark Side and Compressor Mini vid a couple of nights ago - "Larry Carlton jam track" courtesy jtc_guitar.com.

This Charvel is a bonafide ripper. Sassafras Pro Mod San Dimas. Made in Mexico but despite preconceptions (of mine and possibly yours too) it is one of the best guitars going at the moment - at any price. It has a great choice of pickups (Seymour Duncan JB/SSL6) and a build that is designed purely for performance and to leave a smouldering trail down the highway of rawwkkk! 🤘🏻. I will state here and now that I paid for this one, more than the current US market price. I don't care because it's worth it.

I'm still getting used to the hard tail Strat thing: you can laugh at me reaching for the phantom whammy bar at around 3:13 and shortly after. Haha - idiot!

Amps: Axe-FX III. I must have been working on one of my 'mixed bag' Axe-FX III presets because there's a LOT of amp variation in this one which really highlights the versatility of the guitar, I think. Details are annotated on the video itself.
