Hello fellow wastelanders! I'm here to share some of my hints and tips for playing beasts of burnden, the new expansion for fallout 76 that adds a whole new level of challenge and fun to the game. I've been playing fallout 76 since launch and I have over 2500 hours of playtime, so I think I know a thing or two about surviving in the post-apocalyptic world. Here are some of the things I learned that might help you out:
- Beasts of burnden introduces a new mechanic called burden, which is basically a measure of how much weight you are carrying and how it affects your performance. The more burden you have, the slower you move, the less damage you deal, and the more damage you take. You can reduce your burden by dropping or storing items, using perks or chems, or wearing certain armor pieces.
- The expansion also adds a new faction called the Burdened, which are former vault dwellers who have embraced the burden as a way of life. They believe that carrying more weight makes them stronger and more resilient, and they will attack anyone who tries to lighten their load. They are very dangerous enemies, as they have high health, armor, and damage resistance, and they can use various weapons and explosives. You can either fight them or join them, depending on your choices and actions.
- One of the best ways to deal with the Burdened is to use stealth and sniping. They are not very perceptive, so you can sneak up on them and take them out with headshots or critical hits. You can also use mines or grenades to set traps for them, or lure them into environmental hazards like radiation or fire. Be careful though, as they can also use these tactics against you.
- Another way to cope with the burden is to use companions. The expansion adds several new companions that you can recruit, each with their own perks and abilities. Some of them can help you carry more items, some can heal you or buff you, and some can fight alongside you or distract enemies. You can also use your existing companions from the base game or other expansions, but be aware that they will also have their own burden levels and limitations.
