Checking In on Skull and Bones - 365 Days Later
Exactly one year ago, Skull and Bones, the pirate themed action-adventure game from Ubisoft Singapore, slammed ashore onto console and pc’s as one of Ubisoft’s most controversial recent releases. But in the age of ‘games as a service,’ even if you don’t stick the landing, there’s always the rare chance that it could all turn around around. Think games like No Man’s Sky and Cyberpunk 2077, which each launched to similar reception, but in the years since release, they have both evolved into some of the highest rated games of the last decade. Is it possible that Skull and Bones is one of those success stories, or is it just the latest of Ubisoft’s blunders?
