Checking out some of the Paleo Pines Demo
5Steam Nextfest returns for June 2023 and there's a lot of new Demos both for games I haven't heard of before, but also ones I've been waiting a long time for.
Paleo Pines was an easy first pick because I've been pretty excited for it. And while there isn't a Pink Brontosaurus in the demo, HOPEFULLY there is in the full game! Still had tons of fun though.
I know there's rare colors, but I'll honestly just be going for whatever colors I like best.
I would say my biggest struggles in the game are:
-Resource management. Both Stamina and Inventory-wise.
-----In a similar sense, I had a lot of trouble navigating. This is very much a me problem and my inability to read a map, but the amount of times (especially in part 2 where I ended up pausing the recording through most of it), I'd find my way somewhere and then be missing something and have to find my way all the way back to get items out of storage and then back to where I was again and that would waste so much time.
-Clearly you're expected to ride the Dinosaurs around as you move pretty slowly and your stamina is garbage, but I don't really like to? Or more accurate, it stresses me out removing them from their pens even though that's clearly a large part of the game.
-I know eventually I'll have to make them all have different pens, but I kind of like them sharing the same pen.
-I kind of wish there was more an idea of what exactly I need (whether a specific Dinosaur or tool) because I often felt like I was just fumbling around.
-I initially cut it off where I did as I wasn't sure the Demo progress carries over, but it apparently does so a part 2 will be up eventually!
