6In this video I take a look at Celtic Kings: Rage of War,* an older RTS game.
This title was originally released in 2002 and now the original version is available on Steam.
There are a few limitations on the resolutions due to it's age but that was the only restrictive aspect, everything else worked fine.
It's quite funny playing this title in that when you start it walks you through things that we all assume everybody knows these days so it truly is from the golden days. It doesn't have some of the modern features but ultimately the game play it offers is fun and addictive like an RTS should be. There are even some different mechanics like your troops slowly loose health once they are out of your camp and you can train them up by fighting each other but this costs health so you then need to spend time healing.
It also has multiplayer so you can battle friends.
I enjoyed my time playing it and recommend the title so take a look.

Julius Caesar wants to expand his already massive empire and he has his sights set on the lush countryside of Gaul. Celtic Kings: Rage of war brings you the excitement of the Roman conquests in two modes: strategic and adventure.
