Check'n The Forbidden Arts
2In this video I take a look at The Forbidden Arts* a side scrolling platformer adventure.
Each stage begins with a small 3D safe zone where you can talk to the odd NPC, run challenges for upgrades, or find hidden gold to unlock the challenges. Once your finished toying around in the safe zone you can enter the main gameplay zone, the side scrolling platformer aspect. Each platforming zone is replayable for it's hidden gold and leads to another 3D safe zone. The whole game is story driven.
The combat is very interesting. You can't just run at an enemy and hack 'n' slash them or you will be dying quite often. You need to learn the tactics for fighting them which is really nice.
All in all it's a well made and a fun platformer that's worth a look and it's available on all the major platforms.
