CHICHEN ITZA | Maya - Civilization VI: Medieval Era City
#chichen itza #mesoamerica #yucatan
Building Chichen Itza on Civilization 6 during its prosperity years, from 600 to 1200 AD. This video visually explains the city's development over time and shows its main landmark, "El Castillo" or Temple of Kukulcan. This city flourished in the Yucatan peninsula in the depths the jungle and harsh environment.
The map was made on world builder to resemble the Yucatan area. It was really fun and challenging to play because of its lack for production from jungle tiles. The city had to rely on trade from other cities to boost production production and gold. Since I played with the Aztecs (before Maya was released) The Aztec's ability to accelerate districts was key in the rapid building of this city.
