So yeah the reason the build works again now is because Magnetic orbs was fixed. It wasn't critting and was only doing like half damage before. However, the skill Wrathful Conviction was also broken (didn't work at all), but was also fixed. This means you can now proc Burning Conviction (which was buffed to do 80% of whatever damage you dealt) using magnetic orbs or any lightning skill. There is also this one set (War Gods) that lets you stack Burning Conviction INFINITELY, meaning the big bosses pretty much melt (you can see the dmg on the Boss start off slow, but as he takes more hits the HP bar just drops).

So the math works out like this: Magnetic Orbs + Burning Conviction = Death.
