Chrono Ark was a fan game in the making which was unfortunately discontinued by the original team behind it for various reasons. Life gets busier and trying to keep people working for free on an ambitious project is tough. However the community that supported the game is still around and what has been completed has been passed to them. There are people who want to work on it, so there is still a possibility in time.
Chrono Ark was an original story and a fan sequel to Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, custom built for RPGMaker. Following the story of a new protagonist and new team after the consequences of the previous games.
How ever the project would have ended, I've loved making this soundtrack for it and working with the people that have become my good friends. I learned a lot and it was a great experience. The soundtrack was not finished but was very close to being so, enough for me to release it properly. The majority of it was completed around the summer of 2009 and was incredibly fun to do. It's been on my hard drive for a long time and I'm excited to finally get it out there, even if it might not to be in a game anymore.
What you'll be able to download is nearly 100 songs and almost 4 hours of music. I'm hoping to add concept art and perhaps one or two other things as bonus content that were done for the game. The idea of working on something Chrono related is scary, and exciting. You want to please everyone and I hope you enjoy what I've done for it. There are some Chrono arrangements but most of it is my own original work.
Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross are copyrights of Square-Enix and their music composed by Yasunori Mitsuda. Arrangements of the Chrono music were for nostalgic and story purposes. This soundtrack is free and not for profit. If you love the Chrono series, support the games and one day we might get a new Chrono game!
