Chrono Cross - stream 11
3Recap: Serge acclimates to his new form, and works on finding his way out of the Temporal Vortex. An old goblin named Sprigg joins him, thinking it might be her way back to the realm of the living. Harle shows up and also joins, advising that Serge start thinking of himself as Lynx from then on, and that the Dragon's Tear may be used to change his fate.
The exit to the Temporal Vortex dumps them out in the Hydra Marshes in Serge's timeline. They attempt to use the gate at Opassa Beach, but it doesn't respond anymore. Harle speculates that the missing piece to this world has been found, so the gate no longer has a reason to exist. Sprigg suggests Serge that explain to his mother what has happened.
They receive a chilly reception in Arni village, with the villagers' reactions varying from fear to hostility to curiosity. Marge seems convinced, but chief Radius recognizes Lynx and starts a fight. However, he relents after seeing Serge's demeanor in battle. Radius has been seeking General Viper, who disappeared 3 years ago, and joins the party to head north toward Termina to investigate.
A brief stop in Shadow Forest leads to accidentally turning a man into a mushroom person, and he joins the party as Funguy. In Termina, Zappa the blacksmith hasn't been himself since his son Karsh disappeared 3 years ago, and he also joins up. Van, the son of a painter in Termina, ends up tagging along too.
