Chrono Trigger - Corridors of Time
59This was played at my video game music concert in Paris, 05/05/12. While commenting, please keep in mind that I had to play an hour and a half of live music!
I have kind of a weird history with this piece, in relation to this concert. At first I wanted to play the Paraphrase on Dearly Beloved from Kingdom Hearts, but me not liking it that much and the person I wanted to play it for not being able to come to the concert made me decide to do something else! I then decided that I wanted to play something from VVVVVV, in particular Verdegrand's arrangement of Positive Force. But Verdegrand never wrote any sheet music for his arrangement, and it was already only 2 weeks away from the concert and I didn't have enough time to transcribe the whole thing. So then I had to search on the Internet(s) for some good arrangement of something, and ended up selecting this! zohar002's arrangement of one of the more famous pieces from Chrono Trigger.
This arrangement is really well made. Mostly, it's a 3-voice piece played with 2 hands! Learning it was pretty fun, sadly I didn't have quite enough time (10 days or something) to learn this as solidly as I wanted to, and it does sound flimsy at times, balancing those 3 voices definitely isn't easy!
