Chuck Rock II Son Of Chuck features a very warm loving soundtrack with tracks composed by Martin Iveson and converted on Mega Drive by Matt Furniss of Krisalis.

In this Matt Furniss arrangement the music has a very poppy warm feel to it which is instantly enjoyable to listen to, we can also hear more heavy use of his FM square waves with lots of stereo reverb. Now, FM square waves was quite uncommon to do on the YM2612 the best example I can think of where a Mega Drive/Genesis game does stereo square waves is Lemmings on the Miners And Climbers track. On that track you can hear stereo delayed reverb on both sides but the trick was that it was 2 mono PSG lead square waves with FM stereo reverb delayed sine waves, you have to listen carefully to really notice it, but here Matt created them for the FM-YM2612 sound chip and with these ones they're not cheating by using PSG and FM together but rather just FM all the way! No baritone saxophones, hammond organs or ryde cymbals this time round, just lots of FM keyboards, sine waves and an extreme use of square waves which I would like to add sounds really good.

The complete soundtrack is available right here for your enjoyment, it has been recorded from an original PAL HD SEGA Mega Drive model 1 console, possibly a VA4 or VA5 (TMSS free) from a discrete FM-YM2612 sound chip through the front headphone jack. It was then carefully recorded onto a blank audio CD-R disc for fun listening anywhere.

FUN FACT: No PSG-SN76489 was ever used, all FM baby!
