Demonstration of 2x Xeon E5 2699 v3 processors in Cinebench R20 while rendering multi-thread and single-thread benchmarks. Dual Xeon E5 2699 v3 processors are a great combination and I only suggest building such a Workstation System for the task that are utilizing all available 72 logical processors at 100% such as 3D RENDER applications as 3Ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D. Dual Xeon E5 2699 v3 is magic for 3D artists and 3D animators that can replace any workstation for 3D renders and 3D animation.
I do not recommend buying a single Xeon E5-2699 v3 but 2x Xeon E5 2699 v3 for the price of $150-$200 per each is a fantastic price for return in performance out of massive CPU core count. It would be a great idea especially when AMD Threadripper 3970x is above $1,500 USD are above.

A Morozilla RF(Render Farm) v2 PC system(my workstation in 2021) that was used:
CPU: 2x XEON E5-2699 v3(special price from Amazon`s best sellers: https://amzn.to/3okzMKW) with 18 cores and 36 threads per CPU and a total of 72 logical cores as workstation output performance. I was running dual Xeon E5-2699 v3 at stock settings. No bios hack or modification was used yet for the motherboard - this is the workstation when every core is utilized - priority approach or it is idling and wasted.
2x Xeon E5 2699 v3 can be hacked through modified motherboard bios but this is a stock performance test before I will modify the bios of the Chinese motherboard (very scary stuff to do and did not work for my Chinese motherboard based on Serg8989 guide(Russian that is koo-koo - do not use his approach for dual-socket motherboards besides few Chinese motherboards because it will be a disaster and you will buy a $10.99 bios un koo-koo device to unkoo-koo your motherboard - if-else statement). As I already said my i9 9900K was blazingly fast at 5.3 GHz or 5.4 GHz on only 4 cores were enabled - my GAMING 8K system but the difference will be a maximum of 15% of boost in FPS when compare to these 2x Xeon E5 2699 V3 performance during the gaming scenarios and not the 3D render heavy scenarios.
