As part of a new video series where I discuss the pros and cons of various Linux desktop environments, I kick off with Cinnamon, brought to us by the chaps at Linux Mint.
'Cinnamon is a desktop environment based on GTK+ 3. The project originally started as a fork of the GNOME Shell. Cinnamon was initially developed by (and for) the Linux distribution Linux Mint. Because the Cinnamon desktop environment implements a different graphical user interface (GUI) than GNOME desktop environment, many of the GNOME Core Applications were forked, so that their GUIs can be rewritten appropriately.' -Cinnamon on Wikipedia.org
