Aly takes a look at the alpha test of industrial age fantasy mmorpg City of Steam. It is a free-to-play, browser based game made by indie developer Mechanist Games. The video takes you through the character creation process, the tutorial and the starter area. You also get a good look at a couple of dungeons and the various features currently available.
You get a very good look at the races and classes available when you are shown the character customization options, as well as what combinations work well together during gameplay. You get a very good look at the abilities for the arcanist/mage class, as well as the quests/side quests, dungeons and mmo elements to City of Steam. You get to see a lot of different enemy types and levels, as well as the skills/level up system within the game, and how it effects the gameplay. The archanist, being a mage, is heavily focused on long range combat and attacks, but Aly will be doing future videos that focus on the other classes and styles of fighting in the future.
Keep in mind this is an Alpha test and primarily meant to test game mechanics. Many features are still in development and some of the game design may change later on.
