Let's go back to the year 1995. I am a student at high school. It's a Saturday night - past midnight - and I'm drinking a glass of milk and eating a cheese sandwich. Sean Bean is staring as Sergeant Richard Sharpe of the 95th Rifles on the TV behind me, and in front of me is my family's Amiga 500. No one else uses this computer but me, and I only use it for playing games.
Today's game is Sid Meier's Civilization - now known as Civ1.
I have spent many hours playing this game. Many, many hours. I have played single games that have run into weeks worth of playing hours. I have some great memories of campaigns waged and battles fought.
