Welcome to Let's Play Civilization VI as America.

Today were going to playing as America on a Pangaea map. This is to take advantage of what I consider to be America's greatest asset, +5 combat strength on their home continent.

I will be explaining this is the video but basically this ability counters the Deity combat handicap where each AI players gets a flat +4 combat strength bonus vs the human player. This ability make it considerably easier to take a good sized empire early game despite America's lack of an early game unique unit.

I will be taking full advantage of this ability by playing on a Pangaea map. The mega continent will be divided into 4 continents however having that +5 combat bonus on just 1/4 of the map will be a huge help to achieving whichever victory we end up going for.


America's Unique abilities, Unit and Structure.

America's unique ability:
Founding Fathers - Earn all government legacy bonuses in half the usual time.

Teddy Roosevelt's Unique ability:
Roosevelt Corollary - Units Receive +5 Combat Strength on their home continent + 1 Appeal to all tiles in a city with a national park. Gain the Rough Rider unique unit when they research rifling technology.

Teddy Roosevelt's Unique Unit:
Rough Rider - America's Unique modern era unit when Roosevelt is leader. gain culture from kills on home continent. + 10 Combat Strength when fighting on hills. Lower maintenance cost. 5 movement points and 67 combat strength, 2 gold per turn maintenance cost.

America's Unique Unit:
P-51 Mustang - American unique modern area unit that replaces the fighter. Gains + 5 attack against fighter aircraft, has +2 flight range and gains +50% experience. 85 combat strength (+5 from normal fighters) and does not require aluminum as the usual fighter does.


America's Unique Building:
Film Studio - Unique building that replaces the Broadcast Center. Identical stats to the normal Broadcast Center but also provides + 100% tourism pressure from this city towards other civilizations in the modern era.
