Originally shot on widescreen "standard definition/enhanced" video in 2005, this is the complete "Activision vs. Imagic" panel from the Classic Gaming Expo in Burlingame, featuring game designers and artists from both companies: Wilfredo Aguilar, Michael Becker, Steve Cartwright, David Crane, Dennis Koble, Alan Miller, Robert Smith, and a special appearance by the original ship model from the cover of Imagic's Star Voyager. They discuss their respective decisions to leave Atari and blaze new trails in the then-new third-party software market.

A note about upscaling/enhancement: I have tried my best to gently bring these formerly standard-def videos kicking and screaming into HD; the results are admittedly mixed. The 2003 and 2007 video footage were shot as 4:3 SD video, but were edited on an older Avid system whose output was interlaced video, which doesn't upscale well. The 2005 video, shot in a standard-def-but-widescreen mode available on the camera I had at the time, had a maximum resolution of 400 lines, which upscales...badly, to be honest. I've done my best to tweak the audio, and to color/contrast balance everything in Premiere Pro. To the best of my knowledge, the original analog tapes no longer exist, so the edited output files from my old Avid system are now the baseline for all of this video.

These were previously sold on DVD and as downloads; enough time has passed (and sales have long since slowed to a standstill), so this material should be available to all, especially those panels featuring pioneers of the gaming industry who are no longer with us.
