Classical Composer Reacts to Five Bridges Suite (The Nice) | The Daily Doug (Episode 231)
#TheNice #KeithEmerson #FiveBridgesSuite
In this episode of #TheDailyDoug, I'm reacting to Five Bridges Suite by The Nice. This band is new to me, but were active in the late sixties. This pioneering prog band was led by Keith Emerson...right before he would leave to form ELP. The Five Bridges Suite is only available via a live recording with orchestra from 1969. It pays homage to the five bridges in Newcastle that span the river Tyne. It's an odd arrangement of instruments, and the composition is quite a fun listen.
