The version, which is built on the 5.15.84 Linux kernel, includes packages such as gcc11 11.3.0, gvim 9.0.1085, perl 2.74, vim 9.0.1085, xorg-server 21.1.6, xwayland 22.1.7. While it is stated that the operating system is upgraded as a whole instead of using individual packages, it is said that extra software (with associated dependencies) can be added to the system using precompiled packages that can be accessed through the USA-based distribution's swupd software manager. Clear Linux uses autospec, a tool used to assist in the automatic creation and maintenance of RPM packaging. A standard RPM build using rpmbuild requires a tarball and .spec file to start, while autospec only needs a tarball and package name to start
