"It’s a parody of RPGs, and borrows its fundamental concept from the now infamous Cookie Clicker. You click on a monster until it dies, then you buy a new hero to increase your damage so higher level monsters can die a little faster as you progress through the levels. Every time you start to feel like your clicks are powerful and your DPS is solid, you move up a level, and have to buy new heroes and upgrades to get that feeling back again.Like most MMOs, it’s a game practically without end. When you buy all the heroes and reach a level so hard, you can’t get past it, you can “Ascend” and start over. By doing so you collect “Hero Souls” that allow you to summon Ancients that have special bonuses like increased damage while idle, or a higher percentage of gold dropped. Ascend multiple times and you’ll get more gold and more damage, and be able to progress further and further into the unknown.


I spoke briefly with developer Playsaurus who admits that their idea for the game evolved as players become surprisingly addicted to it.


“We originally developed the game as a fun little experiment intended to be played for a couple of days. When we released it, players liked the game asked for more content. We began to add to the game considerably based on player feedback and suggestions. The game quickly expanded into what it is today, and we think there is a lot more that we can add to the game.” Paul Tassi
