This is a 45 second short film I was tasked with producing for my ANIM 190 class under Bernardo Warman. We were asked to create a film under the theme “Robot, in a hurry, go!” featuring at least 1 character in 2D and 1 character in 3D. I worked primarily in Adobe Animate for the animation, though compositing was done in After Effects and general editing was done in Premiere. All 3D assets were created in Maya 2019, of which I’m an amateur.
All sounds were from a licensed SCAD library, and will not be used for profit. I used the program ProTools to arrange and edit sounds for my film.

The project introduced us to the production pipeline of animation, including general aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production. The class was a 10 week course and allowed us to pitch ideas to the professor, imitating the role of an animation supervisor. The class also gave advice and critique during presentations of progress shots throughout the 10 week period.

The characters in order of appearance are named Rollo, Ortho, and Spoinko the Clown.

I had a ton of fun working on this film, and would like to give special thanks to my classmates and professor for support while working on this, along with my family, friends, and loved ones.
