The UK's Competition and Markets Authority, which recently blocked Microsoft's $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, has now placed further restrictions on the two companies.

A new interim order published by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) restricts Microsoft and Activision Blizzard from "acquiring an interest" in each other. The CMA says these restrictions are in place to "prevent pre-emptive action" from either company.
