These two units have always stood out to me, simply for what they were.

Coaster 2303, back in the day, had one of the most amazing K5LAs you could ever imagine, right up there beside 2302 and 2306. But with time, that horn faded after being ruined by a horn choke, and then, to top it off, they killed it off and replaced it with the absolute worst thing they could. A K5CA-LS. This unit had went right from a literal God to a piece of garbage in just a few years. I could only think of how this could have possibly happened. But now, luckily, literally within the past like week or two, the K5CA-LS was eliminated and replaced with a decent-sounding K5LA. It's still worth thinking, though...

Tri-Rail 505, is the exact opposite. In the past, I always looked poorly upon this unit. It was just the dirty "junk" unit that seemed as if they would just retire it right away, it almost always ran mid-set, and had an exceptionally fouled K5LA that really didn't live up to Tri-Rail standards. But then, in 2014, it was suddenly rebuilt. It had never looked so fresh before. And the best part was, starting right then, its K5LA just got better and better. Now, 505 is one of the absolute best of the whole fleet, really just short of the amazing 507. It's stunning how time can have such a positive effect on a unit.
