The narrative from the back of the box:
The Making Of A Legend
When Atlanta pharmacist Dr. John Pemberton created a tasty syrup in his backyard in May of 1886, he never dreamed he was inventing a legend. The delicious syrup was quickly added to the menu at Jacob's Pharmacy for five cents a glass. Excited customers called it "excellent".
Dr. Pemberton's partner and bookkeeper, Frank M. Robinson, came up with the marketing strategy that "two C's would look well in advertising".

He suggested the name Coca-Cola and wrote it in his unique script. newspaper advertising urged thirsty people to try the new soda fountain drink. The advertising paid off and soon sales were up to nine drinks a day. Unfortunately, Dr. Pemberton died just two years after he created his famous syrup. He never knew that what he invented that spring day would become a legend.
