Codename 47 - HITMAN 3 Challenge
0Here's the HITMAN 3 'Codename 47' challenge pack which unlocks the Codename 47 suit for the game after completing 5 separate challenges in different levels. The Codename 47 suit is, of course, the player skin from the first Hitman game titled "Hitman: Codename 47", released in the year 2000.
The five challenges are themed around levels from the original game:
(00:00) The Red Dragon
challenge asks you to get a sniper rifle headshot on any target from the neon sign vantage point in Chongqing. This is a reference to the level "Kowloon Triads in Gang War", where 47 must assassinate a Red Dragon negotiator in Hong Kong, preferably with a sniper rifle from a rooftop.
(01:30) Say Hello to My Little Friend
wants you to acquire the elusive gold idol in Santa Fortuna and pacify the Shaman with it. This is in reference to the jungle level "Find the U'wa Tribe" where 47 needs to recover a stolen artifact to gain the help of a local tribe in finding his target, with the challenge's name being the same as the mission where said target is eventually killed.
-TIP- The Gold Idol in Santa Fortuna disappears if you try to break in. You need the key from the guy.
(04:03) Traditions of the Trade
requires you to drown any target in Bangkok. This is a reference to a level of the same name where one of the people 47 needs to kill can be drowned in a hotel swimming pool.
(05:59) Explosions Run Loose
prompts you to kill five ICA agents with explosives in Berlin, and this MUST be done during the mission 'Apex Predator' and in one go. The challenge is in reference to 'Plutonium Runs Loose' from Codename 47, where 47 can use a car bomb to kill a target who is doing business with a local biker gang.
-TIP- There is another ICA agent who carries around an explosive at the lowest level of the map, around the dance floor area, if you need it.
(10:15) The Setup
MUST be done in the mission 'Untouchable' and wants you to kill all 47 guards in the level. It also asks you to take a trip down memory lane, but the challenge unlocked right after the last kill, before I had any choice of ending. The challenge is referencing the second-to-last mission 'The Setup' in Codename 47 where 47 is tricked into coming back to his "father" to be eliminated in a Romanian insane asylum so that the "superior" 48 can take over.
Untouchable's secret ending of 47 waking up in a padded cell and ready to follow his master is a direct reference to the beginning of Codename 47, hence why it fits this challenge.
