This is a new video of my Fire/Psy Dom's farming build on CoH: Homecoming. The HC devs have nerfed AE repeatedly and basically pushed all squishies (75% Resist cap ATs) out of AE permanently, so I've respecced into traditional outdoor map farming in Peregrine Island (PI). You might think that this type of farming is much slower inf/time, but the base xp and inf rewards for each of these enemies is literally double custom AE farms. I have found that you can make up much of the difference in volume of kills by moving quickly and playing well; but most players copy the easiest answer to a problem and don't experiment like I do. Running this outdoor Council Map takes me an average of 12.5 minutes, but slower runs occur because more bosses will randomly spawn: yet the extra xp offsets the slower run time when this happens. This run had fewer boss spawns than average.

There are 3 main potential target maps if you decide to farm the traditional way:: Battle Maiden Map (Warriors, no AV now), Council Map (Council), and Dreck Map (Freakshow). Of the 3, I simply prefer the terrain of this one. The Council bosses do significant AoE knockback which disrupts your pets, and that technically lowers DPS: so you'll want to try and keep them disabled just to keep your Fire Imps on their feet and healthy. However, casting Flashfire on every single spawn is a time loss overall due to its animation time and low damage, so simply jumping in ahead of your pets and killing most of the enemies quickly enough is necessary sometimes to increase your efficiency. Char will shut down one of the bosses, and they tend to spawn in pairs or not at all. Adaption and quick reactions are key here, as small time losses will add up if you play sloppily or insist on using Flashfire to open every single time.
