Colonels & Commanders includes diplomacy, trade, economics, oil, enclaves, blockades, secret messages, coups, research, technology, science, terrorism, crime such as hacking or drug trafficking, the mafia, spies, espionage, assassinations, commandos, raids, amphibious assaults, weapons of mass destruction, annexation, client states, politics, trade wars, proxy wars, guerrillas, false flags, and disasters such as nuclear melt downs, pandemics, climate change, UFOs, intelligence agencies, and anything you can create or imagine.

The pieces are flat you don’t know what your opponent has unless you have good military intelligence and spies, originally the pieces were flat to save money during production, but this necessitated the development of a flip mechanic inspired by Yugioh that came to define the game along with a unique battle die. The pieces will have info on them to help new players remember all they need to know to play.
