Coloring CGA only game Monuments of Mars 1991

CGA (Color Graphics Adapter) was huge PC graphic card back in 1981. It had only 16K(!) of memory. But it was first color graphic adapter for PC. Entire 16 different colors! Most common graphic resolution for games back then was 320x200. There were only 4 colors in such mode because of 16K limit. Palettes were very ugly: background(black),green,red,brown/yellow or background(black),cyan, magenta, white. And two brightness levels. (And rarely used additional hidden palette and more colorful composite mode). Background color could be changed. Other colors are unchangeable. Few clever games (like Monuments of Mars) can change palettes and bg color on the fly. Not much variety. This video shows how could it look if IBM engineers chose different colors. Any ideas how I did it? Write below.
