1 - Create a new world.
In creative mode / hard difficulty / random seed.
Keep inventory is switched on.
2 - Download and apply the resource pack:

3 - If possible, download and use the optional datapack: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/576090901554659341/888098630215561256/Colourless_Caving_dp.zip
If you're using the datapack, skip to step 5.
4 - Give yourself the following items:
(1) Diamond Chestplate
(1) Shield
(1) Diamond Sword
(1) Diamond Pickaxe
(1) Diamond Shovel
(1) Diamond Axe
(1) Clock
(64) Cooked Beef
(128) Torches
5 - Type /locate mineshaft, then click on the coordinates in chat and teleport to them.
6 - (Still in creative mode) Dig straight down until you find a cave/mineshaft (If you miss a cave, go up to the surface, move slightly and try again).
7 - If there are mobs around, move quickly to a safe place then type /gamemode survival and /time set 0 and start searching for ores! Ores/Ingots found in chests DO count towards your total score.
RULE: No Strip/Branch Mining! If necessary, you may dig towards sounds.
8 - If you die, or the clock ticks over to nighttime (the clock will turn red and say "FIN") then the game is over. Count up your score from the following points system:
Coal: 1
Copper: 1
Redstone: 1
Lapis: 1
Iron: 2
Gold: 3
Diamond: 5
Emerald: 20
9 - And now the BEST bit! Take off your resource pack and retrace your steps, looking at all the ores you missed!
