Combining Cards In a Deckbuilder Roguelike | Dala And The Cursed Forest demo
3Hello everyone! Another demo from the Steam Replayability Fest. This is Dala and The Cursed Forest, a deckbuilder roguelike with a few small changed from the default formula, being the highlight the ability to combine cards to create one more powerful than both of them played on their own. By combining cards, you create crystals that you can use to cast your active skills (I didn't realize about this part while playing, but later). The rest is pretty Slay the Spire-like and I would have enjoyed more if it wasn't because of the issues with the first run; the two burns in exchange of a crap artifact, big guy not being considered a mini-boss and my shield being removed just because.
Second run was more enjoyable, but I had already experienced the frustration of the first one, so I ended up with mixed feelings. Also, I don't know how I feel about the healing... I need the necessary materials but still need to decide between healing or upgrade? Hmmm.... Not sure.
