Pretty tough game, but short. The bosses always give me the most issue. Got to the Stage 4 boss out of 6 stages before the game loops (beaten).
Was jumping between 3 controllers for this game and settled on the Hayabusa joystick slapped into the Mayflash F500 base (modded stick). The 8bitdo M30 has a great pad like the Saturn controller, but was getting some heavy thumb fatigue. Switched over to the Seimitsu LS62 stick which I have inside the Hori Rap4 base and it felt way too sluggish since that stick is not as snappy, has more tension. Less deadzone but the higher tension makes it hard to do rapid directional switching. Its great for precise positioning in most shooters and platformers though. For this game the snappier joystick feels great as a pad alternative. Buttons are super responsive sanwa buttons as well. This was the same stick I used to beat one of the most insane completions I have, Gun.Smoke arcade. So it still seems to have its uses with certain games.
