We talk about how our little "webcomic that could" was in the "right place at the right time" until the rules of the game CHANGED in 2013 or 2014. We saw firsthand how the industry became less concerned about SALES demographics and more focused on what demographic the comic CREATORS were.
But it's not all doom and gloom! We talk about the resurgence in DIY, and how companies like Boom and individuals like Don Bluth and Todd McFarlane are successfully working OUTSIDE of the New York/Hollywood system. If you want anything NEW... you have to make it yourself! Hollywood is stuck making copies of a copy of a copy of far better stuff.
